Once the budget is entered, three tabs let you follow it from different angles.

Planned vs Actual

A table by category and by year, with Planned then Actual columns and their totals. Expand a category to see its lines and entries.

Cumulative

The curve of cumulative amounts over time, by month, quarter or year.

Envelope

Envelope consumption, year by year, as gauges.

The cost of time spent

If daily rates are enabled, a dedicated line shows the cost of the workload, expandable member by member.

Good to know: expenses are split by year according to their date. An invoice dated January counts in January's financial year, even if it was entered in December.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track the budget of several projects?

Yes, the Budget view of the project list and of portfolios summarises the expenses and revenue of all projects.

Why doesn't a category appear?

Only categories with an amount (planned or actual) are shown, to keep the tables readable.
