Entering expenses and revenue

Organise the budget by categories and lines, then enter your expenses and revenue with their supporting documents.

The Budget entry tab is where you build the budget and record actual amounts.

A three-level structure

  • Category — a major expense or revenue heading, shared across the organisation.
  • Budget line — a line within the category (a supplier, a cost item…), with its planned amount.
  • Entry — an actual expense or revenue, attached to a line.

Adding a budget line

Add a line directly from the table and enter its planned amount, even if no expense is attached to it yet.

Entering an expense or revenue

  1. 1
Click Add an expense (or revenue).
  2. 2
Choose the budget line (an existing line or a new label).
  3. 3
Enter the amount and the date (pre-filled with today's date).
  4. 4
Attach the supporting documents (invoices, quotes…), then save.

Good to know: a line whose actual exceeds the planned amount is shown in red, so overruns stand out at first glance.
