Your projects are already in a spreadsheet? Import them into Gladys instead of re-entering them: projects, tasks and subtasks are created in a single operation.
Downloading the template
- 1On the projects page, open the action menu at the top right.
- 2Choose Import projects.
- 3Download the Excel template offered.
Filling in the template
The template contains two sheets:
- Projects — one row per project: name, description, administrator, start and end dates, status, priority.
- Tasks — one row per task or subtask: name, parent project, description, creator, assignee, status, priority, dates.
A task is linked to its project by the project name: it must be identical in both sheets.
Importing the file
Go back to Import projects, drop your completed file and confirm. The projects are created with their tasks.
Good to know: do a first test with two or three projects to check the result before importing your whole portfolio.
Frequently asked questions
How do I specify people (administrator, assignee)?
Follow the template's instructions. People must already belong to your organisation in Gladys.
Can I import tasks into an existing project?
The import creates new projects. For an existing project, add tasks from its views.
