Creating a PowerPoint report

Generate a project report in PowerPoint format from your organisation's templates.

1 min read updated October 2026

PowerPoint reports turn a project's data into a presentation ready to share, based on templates in your organisation's branding. They are available depending on your organisation's options.

Uploading a template

  1. 1
Open the PPTX report entry of the menu.
  2. 2
Add a template: title, colour, optional description and .pptx file.
  3. 3
The template becomes available on all projects.

Preparing the template with keys

In your PowerPoint file, write keys where the project's data should appear (project title, dates, progress, number of tasks by status…). On export, each key is replaced by the actual value. The page's help lists all available keys.

Counts

The total number of tasks, to do, in progress and done.

Lists

A table of the project's members, one row per person.

Images

An image generated on the fly, such as the Gantt schedule, in a shape named to hold it.

Generating the report

From the project, choose the template and start the export: the PowerPoint file is downloaded with up-to-date data.

Good to know: prepare one template per use (steering committee, weekly update, review): each report is then generated in one click.

Frequently asked questions
