Gladys never separates discussion from work: wherever you are in the tool, you have access to the conversations about your projects. Three places let you find and write messages, each suited to a different use.
On the home page: all your conversations in one place
The Discussion widget on the home page brings together the latest messages from all your projects in a single feed, with a search bar to find a specific project or message.
Each line shows the project (coloured dot), the author, a preview of the message and the date; a click opens the discussion of the project concerned directly.
In a project: the Discussion widget of the dashboard
On a project's Dashboard tab, a compact Discussion widget shows the latest messages of that specific project, with a composer to reply without switching tab.
The dedicated "Discussion" view
For longer discussions, a full Discussion tab is available in the project's navigation bar, alongside Kanban, List, Gantt, Documents, Dashboard, Budget and Resources.
This view shows the same content and options as the dashboard widget, but full screen — ideal to read back a longer conversation or follow an active one.
Writing a message
Wherever you are (widget or dedicated view), the same toolbar is available below the input field:
Emoji
Add a reaction or a smiley to your message to set its tone, directly from the emoji picker.
Attach a file
Share a document directly in the discussion — it stays available in the conversation thread, without going through the Documents tab.
Video
Record and send a video message directly from Gladys, handy to explain something quickly without organising a meeting.
Mention a colleague
Type @ followed by the name of a project member to notify them directly.
Good to know: a message sent from the dashboard widget or from the Discussion view appears in the same place — both show the same conversation thread, in real time.
Frequently asked questions
Does the home widget show messages from all my projects, even those I'm not a member of?
No, only messages from projects you have access to appear in your home page feed.
Can I edit or delete a message sent by mistake?
Use the ⋮ menu at the top of the widget or of the Discussion view to access the actions available on the conversation.
Is there a size limit for attached files or videos?
Contact your Gladys administrator to find out the limits applied to your organisation.
