A project gathers the tasks, discussions, documents and follow-up of a single initiative. It is created in a single window.

Starting the creation

The New project button is available in several places: in the left menu (+ button of the My projects section), on the projects page and in portfolios.

  1. 1
    Click New project.
  2. 2
    Enter the project title.
  3. 3
Choose a template: blank project, or one of your organisation's templates.
  4. 4
Enter the start date and choose a colour.
  5. 5
Confirm: the project is created and opens.

Starting from a template

A template reproduces the whole structure of a typical project: lists, tasks, subtasks, milestones, Gantt links, views and shared people. Task dates are recalculated from the start date you enter, and all tasks start again with the "To do" status.

Good to know: "featured" templates are chosen by your organisation's administrators. Other templates remain available via More templates.

A blank project: choosing its first view

A blank project starts without a view. A welcome screen offers to choose the first one: Kanban, List, Gantt, Documents… You can add others afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

My project got a number in front of its title, is that normal?

Yes, if your organisation has enabled automatic project numbering: each new project receives an incremented number.

Can I change template after creation?

No, the template is only used at creation. You can, however, freely edit the project afterwards.
