Portfolio managementWhat is a portfolio?
Understand what a portfolio is for: grouping projects to steer them together.

A portfolio groups several projects that have something in common: the same business area, client, programme or department. It lets you follow them all at a glance, without opening each project.
What is a portfolio for?
Group
Bring together the projects of the same scope, without moving them: a project can belong to several portfolios.
Steer
Follow the progress, deadlines, workload or budget of all the portfolio's projects in one place.
Decide
Spot the projects that are late or over budget to decide where to focus efforts.
Where to find your portfolios
Your portfolios appear in the My portfolios section of the left menu. The counter shows how many you have; it shows 0 until a portfolio has been created.
Portfolio or project?
A project contains tasks; a portfolio contains projects. A portfolio doesn't add work: it gives an overview of existing projects.
Frequently asked questions
Can a project belong to several portfolios?
Yes. For example, a project can be both in the "Marketing department" portfolio and in the "2027 projects" portfolio.
Does deleting a portfolio delete its projects?
No, only the grouping and its configuration disappear. The projects stay intact.
